Why we opened
Finding the ingredients you grew up with should not mean a day trip to Dublin. We opened Carlow Tropical Foods so that families across Carlow and the south-east could buy the staples they actually cook with — properly stocked, at fair prices, close to home.
What we stock
Rice and beans, yam and plantain, frozen fish and meat, palm and groundnut oils, spices and seasonings, drinks, snacks, and the household and beauty products that are hard to find elsewhere. We carry the brands people ask for by name, and we bring in new lines when enough of you request them.
Stock changes with what arrives, so the website shows what is genuinely on the shelf. If something is out of stock, message us — we can usually tell you when the next delivery lands.
Click and collect
Order online and collect in store. You pay online, we put your order together, and you pick it up at the counter with your order reference. It saves you queuing, and it means we can set aside the last of something before it goes.
